The RF filter, also known as an RFDI filter, uses a process called ion exchange to remove minerals, ions and most of the limescale from the water. This filter is mainly used to soften the water and reduce its hardness. The filter medium contains resin granules that retain the positive and negative ions in the water and replace them with hydrogen and hydroxide ions.
The RF filter is suitable for water that requires demineralization, such as water for laboratory use, medical equipment or specific industrial processes.
It filters minerals, ions and partly also lime. When it comes to ions, think of all kinds of things, such as nitrate, which consists of ions.
